Job Summary:
Seeking a compassionate and reliable Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to support residents with daily care needs in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient-centered care while working collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient status changes.
- Support mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper safety techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
- Communicate observations promptly to supervising nurses.
- Follow infection control and facility safety protocols.
- Provide compassionate emotional support to residents and families.
Requirements:
- Active Maryland GNA license (mandatory before submission).
- Previous long-term care / skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
- Ability to work day shift (7A–3P) consistently.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- BLS/CPR (preferred or facility-dependent).
