Job Title: Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA)

Location: Bowie, MD
Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 37 hrs/week
Pay Rate: $15.50/hour
Start Date: ASAP
License Required: Active Maryland GNA license (required prior to submission)

Job Summary:

Seeking a compassionate and reliable Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to support residents with daily care needs in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient-centered care while working collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Monitor and record vital signs and patient status changes.
Support mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper safety techniques.
Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
Communicate observations promptly to supervising nurses.
Follow infection control and facility safety protocols.
Provide compassionate emotional support to residents and families.

Requirements:

Active Maryland GNA license (mandatory before submission).
Previous long-term care / skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
Ability to work day shift (7A–3P) consistently.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
BLS/CPR (preferred or facility-dependent).

Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 8 weeks.
Shift: Days.
Weekly Guarantee: 37 hours.
Start: ASAP.
